How to win prime time, 19:00–23:00

Of the 20 hours in a broadcast day, only the 4 prime-time hours carry league points. They hold the most viewers and the most expensive advertising, and the station that wins them wins the season.

How league points are decided

Stations are ranked by their average prime-time rating that night. Everyone within 0.12 rating points of the top shares first place for 2 points; a clear leader takes 3. Second place still earns 1, so hold on to it on the nights you cannot win.

What to put in prime time

Every genre fits each hour differently. The genres in the table below suit prime time best, and putting a similar genre against a rival in the same hour splits the audience between you. Rivals' prime-time line-ups from last night are public on the rivals screen.

A strong show hands viewers on to the next hour (the lead-in). Do not give away the early-evening slot just before prime.

Big matches and streaks

Every 7 days you face one rival in a big match, announced 3 days ahead. Winning it adds 3 league points and swings reputation. That morning's daily call asks whether to go all-in or hold back.
